If we\nsee the Indian market, it is still a long way to go. It is still quite unclear how\nmany companies deal in cargo and logistics sector use social media, what people\nactually think of it, accepting it to which extent and its usefulness in a B2B\n(business-to-business) environment. Considering the environment, I, Manoj\nUpadhyay \u2013 Director, Apace Digital Cargo, forayed into this domain, started\ngauging (even still!) the mood of the industry \u2013 no matters whether it is a\npublic enterprise or a private entity \u2013 towards the acceptance of social media\nfor their business growth. In the logistics and cargo industry, social media is\nused as a tool for business only. There aren\u2019t any interactions with customers.\nCompanies are unaware of the parameter of social media comments about services\nor even the system. These tools might pose helpful information for the freight\nforwarder and its management.
