\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0BLR Airport is the only Airport in India to reach 100% of the previous year\u2019s tonnage for four consecutive months<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Cargo volumes at Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru (KIAB\/ BLR Airport) continued to maintain positive momentum as 33,053 Metric Tonnes (MT) of cargo were processed in December 2020. Working in close coordination with the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and\u00a0Customs\u00a0(CBIC), Ministry of Finance and BLR Airport\u2019s cargo partners \u2013 Air India SATS and Menzies Aviation Bobba Bengaluru Pvt. Limited \u2013 this is the highest amount of cargo ever processed at BLR Airport for the month of December since Airport operations commenced in 2008.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

BLR Airport is the only Airport in India to reach 100% of the previous year\u2019s tonnage for four consecutive months on a y-o-y basis \u2013 between September and December 2020.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

International cargo grew at 7%, with a throughput of 20,288 MT in December 2020, the highest in the last 21 months. \u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
